Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has ruled out any summer sale of key striker Luis Suarez. Suarez is being constantly tipped with moves away from the club with Serie A giants Juventus thought to be among the sides best positioned to sign him at the end of the season.

Newcastle United are reportedly ready to make a cut price offer to Liverpool for the signing of Andy Carroll. Carroll is currently on loan at West Ham United and is thought to be rated at £17 million by his current owners with Newcastle ready to offer just £7 million.

The father of Xabi Alonso has revealed that his son is in no rush to commit himself to Real Madrid. The Spanish midfielder has been tipped to return to the Premier League with Liverpool for the 2013/2014 season as speculation grows over whether he’ll extend his Real Madrid contract.

Liverpool are reportedly very close to signing Barcelona forward Sergi Canos on a long term deal. The Catalan press is reporting that the teenager is close to agreeing a move to the Liverpool youth system, which has one of the best development squads in England.

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for 25-year-old Sporting Lisbon star Diego Capel. The winger is seen as a possible value addition to the current Anfield squad as he’s reportedly up for grabs at around £10 million which won’t eat too deeply into Liverpool’s budget.

On loan Liverpool defender Jack Robinson says his experiences with Wolves are hardening him up. Robinson is on loan with the Championship strugglers where he’s played a vital role in improving the defence as the football league giants try and hold off the drop to League One.

Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign highly rated defender Dede. Liverpool were thought to be in a battle with Manchester United for the talented Brazilian defender who is apparently seen by the West London team as a long term replacement for John Terry.

Liverpool are making progress in their bid to redevelop Anfield into a higher capacity stadium. Managing director Ian Ayre has revealed that everything is on track but it’s not going to be a quick process with plenty of paperwork and bureaucracy involved along the way.

Liverpool defender Jose Enrique says he is enjoying his new attacking role in the side. Enrique has been used as a left winger this season and is encouraged by manager Brendan Rodgers to get forward and provide width, which he says has improved the attacking side of his game.
