6. 1969 - The assassin of Robert Kennedy, Sirhan B. Sirhan, is found guilty of first degree murder

7. 1970 - The Apollo 13 astronauts safely splashed down after their near-disastrous flight

8. 1974 - Victoria Beckham is born

9. 1975 - Phnom Penh fell to the Khmer Rouge, ending the five year Cambodian war

10. 1986 - British journalist John McCarthy is kidnapped in Beirut

11. 1999 - A bomb explosion in south London injures at least 45 people
