Arsenal were triumphant in their Premier League fixture this weekend; but left it late against Norwich at The Emirates. Despite dominating the first half they cold not find the net and were punished when Michael Turner bagged the opening goal of the game.
The result put Arsenal in third place and Arsene Wenger was predictiably buoyed by the result. He went on to challenge his team to hold their nerve in their quest for Champions League football ahead of their London rivals Chelsea and Spurs.
The Daily Mail believe they already know Arsenal’s plans for next season. They believe the club will pursue Mario Gotze as their number one target while Etienne Capoue is also on the wanted list. A goalkeeper will also be signed and Pepe Reina is their preferred choice of addition.
Rene Adler is the latest name linked with being Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper next season. The 28-year-old stopper could move on a cut-price deal from Hamburg after their recent financial troubles became public and would cost a lot less than many of their other potential options. Adler only signed for Hamburg last summer and has 11 caps for his country.
Lukas Podolski fears he may be on his way out of the club, according to a source quoted by The Sun. The German international has recently lost his place in the Arsenal starting line-up and is said to be ‘’ worried that Wenger may have a problem with him.’’
