Deutsche Bank and asylum seekers ?
The subject of asylum seekers is big in Australia and a boat carrying 66 men, women and children managed to avert border controls and arrive in a barge at the Geraldton port in Western Australia Tuesday - and the barge was resplendent in Deutsche Bank corporate colors and logo.
As The Wall Street Journal reports, the footage of the arrival of the boat ran on nightly news reports and in many of the country’s newspapers, giving the Deutsche Bank logo unexpected air time.
Deutsche Bank spokesman Adrian Cox said the firm had made donations of similar-looking vessels to Sri Lankan fishing communities devastated by a tsunami nearly a decade ago.
