After Adam Morgan grabbed a brace in the under-21’s tie with Arsenal on Monday night we bring you five names to look out for next season at Anfield.
It was Morgan who inspired the article in the first place so why not start with the striker. His double against Arsenal under-21’s on Monday night improved his goalscoring record for the season and after putting a brace past Polish international Wojciech Szczesny his confidence must be sky-high right now.
He has featured for Liverpool in three Europa League games this season but a loan-spell at Rotherham United was largely uninspiring.
However there is no doubting the fact he is a natural goal-scorer commended by non-other than Robbie Fowler (something of an expert on clinical finishing) as one of the best finishers he had ‘seen for a long, long time’.
Natural goal-scorers always get their chance.
Here is a player who has slipped under the radar but has been superb in Liverpool’s NextGen campaign.
Most importantly about his talents is his technical ability truly fits the bill for Brendan Rodgers’ style of play.
The playmaker is out-of-contract this summer and Liverpool would do well to keep him on board.
The full-back has produced the occasional mind-numbingly superb performance this season.
Fast, powerful and an excellent dribbler the 18-year-old has even been called up to the Northern Ireland squad already in his career.
Definitely could be next seasons Andre Wisdom.
Is next season finally the year that Coady makes the breakthrough at the club?
The problem seems to revolve around just where exactly to play the versatile youngster. If they see his future as a centre-back then next year may just be his chance to shine with Jamie Carragher retiring; although Andre Wisdom may also be considered for that role.
If you are good enough then you are old enough; right?
Well this lad could certainly be good enough and even found himself on the bench against Southampton last month. Just 17-years-old this winger may be next seasons Raheem Sterling.
Who do you think will make the grade next season?
