Emmanuel Eboue produced a superb goal and a superb performance against Real Madrid in the Champions League last night.
Eboue started the match for Galatasaray at right back and the fact Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals, does not do his performance justice because any Arsenal fan watching him last night, would have to admit it was probably a mistake to let him leave.
Reflection is a wonderful thing but if Bacary Sagna jumps ship and goes to play for PSG this summer, Arsenal will need another right back to provide cover for Carl Jenkinson and based on this, they could do a lot worse than signing Eboue.
The goal he scored in the match was simply one of the sweetest strikes of a football, which you are ever going to see. He absolutely booted the ball into the top corner as the Turkish side came very close to a dramatic comeback losing the tie 5-3 over two legs.
It capped off a solid performance both at the back and going forward and proved just why he earned 132 appearances during his first spell with the Gunners before leaving for Turkey.
Defensively he was solid and forced Ronaldo to play inside instead of out wide. The goals suggest that may have been a bad thing but Eboue stopped Ronaldo from running in behind him down the left of the pitch.
Offensively he looked as good as he ever has been with the goal capping off a night filled with impressive forward runs, creating width and injecting pace down the right of the pitch.
An aggressive full back who can defend, get forward and score the odd goal is certainly something Arsenal may be looking for this summer.
Check out the goal, what a strike!
How do you think he played?
