When Porto were knocked out of the Champions League by Malaga last month, James Rodriguez being dropped to the bench due to fitness concerns he himself disputed became big news.
Last night he showed he is in fine health, scoring a superb strike at the Dragao stadium as Porto beat old rivals Braga 3-1.
Braga had taken the lead with an early strike before Rodriguez leveled the scoreline with a belter from outside the box.
Teenage substitute Kelvin came off the bench in the second half to hit a brace to take Porto to a 3-1 victory, keeping the pace with Benfica and ensuring the gap at the top was not extended beyond the four points it now stands at.
Manchester United have been linked with Rodriguez several times over the past year, as a replacement for Nani who is expected to be moved on in the summer.
The goal was Rodriguez' 10th of the season, and it was quite a strike. You can check it out below...
