Another QPR Disaster - And The Players Brought It On Themselves (Again)

Sad Clown

A rash challenge that led to a sending off, a silly tussle that resulted in a free kick on the 18 yard line, and a lack of courage by one player just about summed up Queens Park Rangers' day.

And it's goodbye Premier League now, as a run of one point out of the last nine almost certainly means relegation (especially as teams around QPR in the relegation zone are picking up points).

What was Bobby Zamora thinking when he went in after 23 minutes with his foot up so high ? Of course, he wasn't thinking at all.

When Remy scored with just a few minutes to go, you knew that QPR wouldn't hold out. And two stupid challenges in front of goal gave Wigan two chances to snatch an equalizer. Not quite believing his luck, Maloney predictably took the final gift, and scored in the last minute. Wigan remain on track for yet another great escape, and QPR look dead and buried.

But a final word on Maloney's free-kicked - did you see how Taarabt turned his back on the ball as it was driven towards him ? And did he actually duck out of the way ? With less than a minute to go, you'd think that he'd get his face right out in front of it and damn the consequences, wouldn't you ?

A typical QPR performance this season - the club was let down by a few players who should have know better. Pathetic.
