Executive for Gears of War-maker praises Sony's new “phenomenal” console.
Epic Games vice president Mark Rein has praised Sony's decision to including gaming PC hardware in its upcoming PlayStation 4 console.
Highlighting how it would enable developers to hit the ground running with taking on projects for the next-gen console, Rein also praised the system's great memory specs.
“It's like giving you the world's best PC," he told CVG in an interview.
"The kind of stuff that they announced that they're doing, the level of convenience and things like that... they're making a really perfect gaming PC."
Pointing to the PS4 features that have already been announced, such as game streaming, social networking functions and non-intrusive updating, Rein said the key to the next generation of gaming would be the “simplicity of the experience”.
Furthermore, the veteran games executive said he fully expected Microsoft's next Xbox to run along the same lines.
