All of the latest Liverpool news.

Brendan Rodgers has reaffirmed his stance that Luis Suarez will not be leaving the club this summer. Suarez hinted he could leave Liverpool for Champions League football with several clubs thought to be ready to break the bank to make him their new signing.

Steven Gerrard has dismissed the issue of his new contract claiming that securing European football for next season is more important. Liverpool are thought to be ready to tie Gerrard down on a deal, which should see him play out the rest of his career at the club.

Steven Gerrard has attacked the club’s inconsistency this season and has called for summer reinforcements to sure things up. Gerrard suggests that if Liverpool had shown half of the consistency they are capable of then they would be in a top four position.

The Daily Mail has suggested that Arsenal are still interested in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina. Reina has been linked with several moves away from the club this summer, with the Gunners thought to be one of the sides seriously interested in going after him.

Liverpool look set to lose out to Everton in the race to sign former Barcelona star Jeffren. The Sporting Lisbon striker had been mentioned as a possible Liverpool target but Everton have reportedly engineered themselves into a position where they will have first refusal over his services.

Jamie Carragher has claimed that Luis Suarez could turn himself into a bigger Anfield legend than Steven Gerrard. The striker is the top scorer in the Premier League this season, which has led to claims that Liverpool will have to fend of some big money bids this summer to keep him.

Jamie Carragher has said he is certain club captain Steven Gerrard will stay at Anfield for the rest of his career. Gerrard is about to negotiate a new deal with Liverpool, which could see him move on if all parties can’t reach a common agreement they are all happy with.

Former Liverpool player Steve Nicol says Jordan Henderson is not good enough to be considered a long term replacement for Steven Gerrard. Henderson plays a similar sort of role to Gerrard in the current team and grabbed a very Gerrard-esque goal in the weekend win at Aston Villa.

A Liverpool psychiatrist has claimed that the team is too worried about hitting high placed league finishes. Dr. Steve Peters has argued that a top four target for Liverpool places unrealistic and unfair pressure on the players ahead of what is bound to be a better campaign next season.
