Edinson Cavani, Falcao, Neymar - Three of the biggest names in world football have been linked with Manchester City this summer, but the club could elect to make a move for a far cheaper striker after all.
The name being put forward is Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, the exciting St Etienne striker who is winning rave reviews for his performances in Ligue One.
A report in Italy claims City are ready to move for the striker, who has scored 18 goals and assisted 14 for his club this season so far.
Aubameyang has even been nicknamed the 'King of Bling' and the 'African Neymar' for his extravagant hairstyle and dress sense off the field, and on it he is full of fancy tricks and impressive touches.
Only 23-years-old, the Gabon striker is wanted by Arsenal and Newcastle who are regular raiders of the Ligue One talent pool, and there is strong interest from Italy and Fiorentina as the club look for a possible replacement for Stefan Jovetic.
City's interest could potentially change everything, as they have the finances to outbid both clubs, and will not be welcomed by Arsenal who have found the club damaging to their own prospects in recent years, signing several of their own players.
Aubameyang appears destined to move to a bigger club this summer, but there is one concern with his link to City. His touch for the extravagant and lively personality - reminds us of a certain Mario Balotelli.
We are not quite sure that Roberto Mancini may be the best manager for him.
