Manchester City will know the name Dmitri Seluk very well after the controversy he caused last week regarding Yaya Toure. He is a busy man.
If Manchester City fans are wondering why Dmitri Seluk, the agent who demanded the club give his client Yaya Toure a new contract by the weekend 'or else', has gone quiet - Its probably because he has been a bit busy.
A bizarre story has been playing itself out in Russia, with Seluk at the centre of it.
It centres around his client, Ivory Coast defender Igor Lolo, who at 31 has ten international caps for his country and played alongside Yaya Toure at the 2012 African Cup of Nations.
He played, note the past tense, for Kuban Krasnodar, a team who are eighth in the Russian Premier League and one he described as a 'second home' for him, having been there since 2011.
Lolo had been a regular for Kuban, he was even the team captain, but earlier this year he found himself dropped from the team, with little explanation.
He had not featured a since time in 2013, and last week his agent, Dmitri Seluk, took to the Russian press to vent his frustration in an interview that the same newspaper Izvestia later described as 'scandalous.'
Seluk lashed out at the club's hierarchy, accusing them of making team selections which were not based on football reasons, arguing his client is the best defender and should be playing.
Perhaps an acceptable argument, but the way he went about it, clearly irked the club, with Seluk stating he 'personally rejects' the team's decisions, accusing Kuban's sporting director Serhiy Doronchenko of picking the team rather than his manager, labelling recent managers 'puppets'.
Fast forward one week later and his client, Igor Lolo no longer has a club and is a free agent.
A regretful Lolo said yesterday: "(It's) very difficult to talk about it. It is better to have my representative Dmitri Seluk ask, he will tell you all the details. I would not like to divulge details of what happened. I am very sorry that all this happened. Perhaps, for many will remain a mystery why I left Kuban."
So Seluk is likely to be busy finding his client a new club over the coming days or weeks.
The one team who will not be bringing him aboard is Manchester City, who will want as little to do with Seluk as possible.
How the Toure saga plays out remains to be seen...
