VIDEO: De Bruyne cross leads to Hazard winner for Belgium

Eden Hazard scored Belgium's winner last night with another player employed by Chelsea playing a key part.

Given the talent at their disposal, with key players excelling at top Premier League clubs, it would in many ways be criminal if Belgium failed to qualify for the 2014 World Cup.

Fortunately they are in a very good position, with 16 points from a possible 18 in Group A, but the only problem is that Croatia have exactly the same record, although they do lead by a slender goal difference margin.

Eden Hazard was their matchwinner last night, scoring a winner midway through the second half to clinch a 1-0 victory over Macedonia.

The Chelsea star was given a hand by another player who belongs to the Blues, with Werder Bremen loanee Kevin de Bruyne crossing the ball in for the lead up to the goal.

Macedonia were only able to clear it as far as Hazard, who controlled the ball on his right foot before cutting across onto his left and firing it past the goalkeeper into the net.

He scored and assisted one against Macedonia on Friday in a 3-0 win, making it six goals for club and country since he returned from suspension in mid-February.
