QPR's Esteban Granero has urged Jose Mourinho to remain at Real Madrid.
Esteban Granero left Real Madrid for QPR last summer, and right now we expect he is frantically nudging his agent to try and ensure he is not stuck playing Championship football next season.
For now he has an opportunity to prevent such an occurence, by leading QPR to a sensational fightback over the final eight games of the season and help them retain their place in the Premier League.
Just before he gets around to tackling that task, he has been quizzed about the prospect of being reunited with his former manager Jose Mourinho should the 'Special One' go ahead with the much-touted return to Chelsea.
And Granero was quite happy to discourage Mourinho from joining QPR's west London rivals, urging him to stay at Real.
He said: "I'm a big fan of Mourinho, so I would like it (he) will stay there, as it is one of the best coaches in the world, but you never know."
Perhaps though it is his later quote which will have supporters sitting up, where he compares Mourinho to none other than Harry Redknapp.
"Harry and Mou are not so different, both are very smart in their relationship with the players."
Far be it from us to tell him he is wrong. After all Granero has played under both bosses, and while the two have differing success rates in terms of trophies won, the man motivational skills both possess can't be disputed as a number of players have testified to.
It remains to be seen however if Granero's words will have any effect. Chelsea are by far the bookies favourites to have Mourinho as manager next season.
Who knows it could even work in his favour, a new manager at Madrid next season could even offer him a path back to the club he left last summer.
Should Mourinho rejoin Chelsea or stay in Madrid? What do you think?
