A round-up of news and views relating to Chelsea over the past 24 hours.

Former Chelsea Chief Scout and Head of Youth Development Frank Arnesen has defended his record at Stamford Bridge, and said that the young players he worked with have never been given a chance to impress at the club. Arnesen reportedly spent £62million on young players at Chelsea, of which only Ryan Bertrand has really broken through into the senior squad.

Eden Hazard has said that playing for Belgium is easy because he the team enjoy playing together. Hazard netted the only goal in the 1-0 win over Macedonia to follow up his goal in the 2-0 win over them on Friday. Kevin De Bruyne provided the cross that led to the goal, which we have a video of here on HITC.

Oscar has said that Chelsea are ready for their upcoming fixtures, with the Blues set to play four times in nine days starting with two matches over the Easter weekend. Oscar also said that Chelsea will approach each game with the same focus, regardless of what competition it is in:

“We want to win all of the games and we want to do as well as we can in all the competitions. We won't sacrifice one for the others."

The Daily Mail has published photos of Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, with the Real Madrid manager’s disguise proving inadequate as he was spotted attending the Brazil vs Russia friendly that took place on Monday.

There has been some speculation that Chelsea are scouting Danish duo Christian Eriksen and Andreas Cornelius. Both have been the subject of interest from Premier League clubs in the past, with Eriksen expected to leave Ajax this summer.

Reports in Turkey have suggested that Galatasaray have rejected a £21million bid from Chelsea for their striker Burak Yilmaz. The Turkish side are believed to want at least £33million for the 27 year old who has also been targeted by Manchester United.

Another striker Chelsea might struggle to sign is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with reports today suggesting that Fiorentina have joined the legion of clubs chasing the St Etienne forward. Aubameyang’s father and agent Pierre Aubame has said that they will hold talks with Fiorentina about a potential move.
