Don’t mess with Liverpool’s Luis Suarez when it comes to corners because he’ll quite literally thump you for your trouble.
Luis Suarez may be the Premier League’s top scorer but he continues to be knocked for his antics on the field when he’s not scoring goals.
Gonzalo Jara of Chile seemed so scared of giving him any space in the match against Uruguay, he stuck tight to the striker, in fact he was pretty much hugging him.
Suarez responded with a deft little punch which was actually quite sly because it was virtually impossible for the referee to detect. Had he done so, a straight red card would have been the order of the day.
Whether it was his intention to annoy Suarez and become a real nuisance is debatable, he was probably just trying to ensure Suarez had absolutely no room to manoeuvre and to his credit he didn’t go straight down like a ton of bricks.
Granted, he was probably very frustrated that his team were 1-0 down at the time, and went on to lose 2-0, but that’s no excuse and this sort of behaviour is the one thing holding Suarez back from being likeable in the eyes of many neutral Premier League fans.

What do you make of it?
