Morgan Stanley Exec Becomes CEO of Itaú BBA International

Itaú BBA, the wholesale and investment banking arm of the Itaú Unibanco group, announces today the appointment of Charles F. Stewart as Chief Executive Officer of Itaú BBA International. He will join the bank on June 24, 2013 and will be based in London.

Stewart will succeed Almir Vignoto, who will move to New York later this year to lead the U.S activities of Itaú BBA as Country Head. He joins Itaú BBA after spending 19 years at Morgan Stanley in a variety of client-facing and senior management positions.

Since 2010 Stewart has served as Deputy Head of Investment Banking for the EMEA region and a member of the investment banking division's global operating committee. Prior to that he was head of Investment Banking for Latin America based in São Paulo. He has spent much of his career focusing on Latin America and has extensive experience in both the Brazilian and Latin American financial markets.
