Carlos Vela Arsenal

News and gossip from The Emirates.

Carlos Vela has insisted he has no desire to return to Arsenal at the end of the season. The striker was sold to Real Sociedad at the end of last season after failing to make the grade at The Emirates but has had an excellent season at the Basque club as they chase a place in the Champions League next season.

The Gunners reportedly have a buy-back clause in his deal but the Mexican international has made himself clear over his desire to stay in San Sebastian for the foreseeable future.

Nacho Monreal has insisted that Arsenal need to not waste their time and energy listening to criticism of their performances.

The Spain international feels the side can make it to the Champions League for next season if they continue to play like they have recently.

Alexis Sanchez has rejected the notion of moving to Arsenal this summer. The Chilean international has recently been linked with a move to Juventus - with some sources even claiming a deal would have been done.

Arsenal would also have been interested in the player this summer considering he struggles to hold down a first team place in the Barcelona team but he has insisted his only desire is to earn a place in the first team.

Arsenal are reportedly after a man being dubbed the ‘next Michael Ballack’. The Gunners are ready to do battle with the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Munich in the pursuit for VfL Bochum’s Leon Goretzka.

The 18-year-old German youth international has been in impressive form for Bochum in the 2.Bundesliga this season and looks like being one of Europe’s hottest prospects this summer.

There has been some news that might be received well by Arsenal fans today; as it is being reported Gervinho may be on his way out of the club. Reports suggest that Galatasaray are willing to make a £12 million bid for the Ivorian and considering his recent form for the club many Arsenal fans will be happy to see the back of him.

The same can be said about Andre Santos. The Brazilian has been speaking of his desire to stay in Brazil after enjoying his time on-loan at Gremio.

With Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal now ahead of him in the pecking order it could be a move that benefits all parties.
