Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Jovetic performance vs England

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Stevan Jovetic over the past 24 hours, so what did fans think of him last night?

Stevan Jovetic was linked to Arsenal as a serious transfer target in early February and the rumours have strengthened ever since.

The Montenegrin gave an interview to 'The Sun' on the eve of last night's game with England, stating that he feels an 'affinity' with Arsenal and is honoured to be linked with them.

The chances of him signing for the Gunners are finely poised. Manchester City and Chelsea are also suitors for his services, and could potentially outbid Arsenal, so they must pull out all the stops to try to tempt him, as well as securing Champions League football.

With the prospect of signing the 23-year-old heavily under discussion heading into England's clash with Montenegro, it made the World Cup qualifier the perfect scouting opportunity for supporters to check him out in action.

The game finished 1-1 with Wayne Rooney's early opener cancelled out by substitute Dejan Damjanovic's equaliser, while not a disaster for England, it can hardly be counted as a success either.

Jovetic had five shots on goal, with only one finding the target, providing two key goalscoring opportunity passes for his teammates. A constant threat, he was fouled by England twice as many times as any other player.

But what did Arsenal fans make of his showing? Here is a selection of what they had to say on Twitter...

What did you think of Jovetic, is he worth £25 million?
