Petr Cech is the latest Chelsea player to reach 100 caps for their country, with the goalkeeper picking up his century for the Czech Republic against Armenia today. The next target for Cech is Karel Poborsky’s record of 118 caps for the Czech Republic.
David Luiz has dismissed the idea that Chelsea will suffer due to the amount of matches they have scheduled over the coming weeks, saying that he hopes to be involved in every game they play:
"I love to play games, I prefer to play games than training for sure. I want to play both games against Southampton and Manchester United and I want to win both matches."
Paddy Power have found an ingenious way to keep the banner mocking Fernando Torres in place outside Stamford Bridge. Their advert was initially on a billboard that the council asked them to remove at Chelsea’s behest, but is now on a van parked just under where the billboard was.
Whilst many of his teammates are on international duty, Torres has been pictured training at Chelsea wearing a protective mask on his face after a collision during the Europa League win over Steaua Bucharest,
Chelsea captain John Terry has been linked with a move to Turkish club Fenerbahce. Terry is in the final year of his contract with the Blues, and is expected to make a decision about his future in the summer after failing to command a regular starting place under Rafa Benitez. However on HITC today, Lewis Doe questions the likelihood of Terry moving to Turkey.
