Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has said he’s confident he can lead England to a win in Montenegro. The national team take on the group leaders this evening and Gerrard has brushed off claims from the Montenegro coach that England are an arrogant and overrated side.
Jonjo Shelvey scored a beast of a free kick against Austria for England’s Under-21 side. Shelvey smashed the ball in from just outside the penalty area, which left the Austrian goalkeeper with no chance. The goal will do his confidence the world of good as he tries to get back into the Liverpool team.
