Jose Mourinho’s former youth coach at Porto Rui Sa Lemos has claimed Jose Mourinho’s return to Chelsea is a done deal.
Jose Mourinho could be in line for a sensational return to Stamford Bridge this summer according to one of his former colleagues.
Rui Sa Lemos worked for Mourinho during his time at Porto and he claimed through his Twitter account that Mourinho would be returning to Stamford Bridge to take charge of the side for next season.
There has been plenty of speculation over his next move, as he’s admitted that he will be looking to move back to England once he has been released from his position with Real Madrid.
Mourinho has been linked with the job at Old Trafford for when Sir Alex Ferguson retires but if this is to be believed, he will return to Chelsea to try and guide the club back to the Premier League title.
If this news is true, and that’s a monumental if at this stage, then it will be music to the ears of many Chelsea fans who have been calling for Mourinho’s return ever since Roberto Di Matteo was sensationally sacked, shortly after winning the Champions League.
Mourinho is heavily tipped to leave Real Madrid this summer, as reported friction with higher ranking officials at the club, is thought to have made him deeply unhappy.
He has looked a little off in various interviews he’s recently given to English broadcasters, but he’s a very difficult man to read because you never quite know what he’s really up to.
The reliability and authenticity of this Twitter revelation has also been called into question because after his former colleague Tweeted this news, that account was quickly shut down shortly afterwards.
That gives the impression that it may have been nothing more than mischief making on the part of someone who just wanted to cause some trouble. That or Chelsea have a legal reason to stop anyone from posting this news before they do.
If Chelsea get him back then expect them to be challenging heavily for the title next season and any other silverware they are going for.
He is certainly entertaining and few will argue against the fact that the Premier League is a better place with him rather than without him. In typical Mourinho fashion, this news reveals everything without really revealing anything.
Chelsea fans, what do you make of this?
