Olivier Giroud showed a glimpse of his quality in France’s match against Georgia, which Arsenal fans will be hoping he produces for the rest of the season at club level.
He was thrown in at the deep end for the match, given the task of leading the attack and he did it superbly as France secured another three points on their way to the World Cup in Brazil 2014.
As headers go, you will see plenty that are more spectacular but in terms of technique, this is textbook. Any young striker who wants to learn more about the aerial side to the game and how to become a real threat in the air, should watch this video.
His movement, the space he gives himself, the technique to head the ball and the power involved are all spectacular and demonstrate the main reasons Arsenal invested in him in the first place.
It will also do his confidence the world of good going back to Arsenal because the Gunners are going to look to him, to play a key role in the side in the club’s push for fourth place in the Premier League.
