Another former Chelsea man to join Drogba in Turkey?

Arjen Robben 2

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba could be joined by an old teammate at Galatasaray.

Didier Drogba is busy gunning for a second Champions League in a row with a different club, trying to emulate Samuel Eto'o who did the same with Barcelona and Inter Milan in 2009 and 2010.

He will surely hope Galatasaray do get near to lifting the trophy, as such prestige will only help them attract more big names.

One they have their eyes on is former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben.

Robben spent three seasons with Chelsea between 2004 and 2007, linking up with Didier Drogba to lead Chelsea to two league titles in that time.

Now German newspaper Bild are reporting that Robben is top of Galatasaray's summer shopping list.

The Dutchman has enjoyed a mixed season at Bayern Munich, struggling with form and injuries, and when the Germans traveled to London to defeat Arsenal 3-1 last month he was sat on the bench.

He was forced to answer questions in Germany as to his frustration at the situation, and it is quite likely if a big bid comes in then Bayern will cash in on him, with Franck Ribery and Thomas Mueller first choice wingers.

If he does sign for Galatasaray, and link up with international teammate Wesley Sneijder, it will further confirm the Turkish side's ambition to mix it with the European elite.

Whether Drogba remains at the club next season remains to be seen, but if he does - he would surely be delighted to find Arjen Robben on the wing creating him chances once more.
