Can Spurs win the Title in the next two years?

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Ledley King has backed his club to push for the Premier League title over the next two seasons.

Ledley King is currently an ambassador for Tottenham so he’s still quite close to the club and the team and is well positioned to make predictions based on his experience and what he sees.

He reckons Spurs will mount a very strong push over the next couple of seasons that the side will start pushing both Manchester clubs and Chelsea all the way, when it comes to the Premier League title and he has a point.

Spurs are in a very good position and have a great base, which has been created by the faith shown in the manager Andre Villas-Boas.

AVB has proven himself to be one of the best managers in the game when it comes to tactics, which is a reason Spurs have secured some impressive results this season, such as being the only team to take anything away from Old Trafford so far this year.

AVB also seems to have the complete respect of his players and from those higher up the food chain, which is important because there are going to be players that he demands in order to push the side forward in the next few years.

Spurs are likely to end the season with Champions League football in the bank, which will give the boss another chance to test out his skills and tactics as a manager, as Spurs try to compete against some of the best sides in Europe.

Spurs also have a very young team, mixed in with a good balance of experience, which will allow easy transition from one side to the next.

The presence of players such as Kyle Walker, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lewis Holtby, Tom Carroll and Gareth Bale means the side will retain a solid spine of players as the likes of William Gallas, Scott Parker and other older players step out of the game.

It stops AVB from having to create completely brand new teams over the next season or two, which allows Spurs to be consistent with their selection and maintain a solid side as they progress.

Spurs also have plans to develop a new stadium, which is significant because a bigger ground means a bigger support base and that creates extra cash, which can be spent on improving the side.

It was the first step Arsenal took to consolidate into their current positive financial position and it’s a step the club has to take to consolidate as serious title contenders each and every season.

Spurs fans, what do you think?
