After the shock sacking of Michael Appleton the clubs fans have been speaking about who they want to replace him at Ewood Park.
After the doomed to failure appointment of Henning Berg and decision not to sack Steve Kean before the start of the season this has proved to be yet another case of poor management from the clubs Indian owners.
Steve Kean walked out of the club after months of pressure and insisted he had been ‘’forced to resign’’ as his position became more and more untenable. The fact many people forget about that time was that Rovers were sitting third in the league table when Kean left. Now they sit 18th just four points above the relegation zone.
So the likelihood remains that the owners will once again appoint a manager with minimal experience at this level who is not capable of taking the team forward in any positive direction whilst also bloating an already overindulgent squad.
Gary Bowyer will take charge of the first-team proceedings until the end of the season so Venkys have plenty of time to actually, for once, make an informed and logical decision on who should take over from Appleton at the end of the season.
As for Blackburn fans they will simply be wishing that their new gaffer will be taking over a Championship club and not a League One outfit.
Here are some of the names that Blackburn Rovers fans have been calling for on Twitter; with one in particular rising above the rest…
