Milan Jovanovic scored a superb goal in the recent Belgian league match for Anderlecht against FC Genk.
Milan Jovanovic didn’t have a great time at Liverpool. He signed from Standard Liege in 2010, made just ten appearances for the club before he was moved on to Anderlecht in the Belgian top division.
He’s thrived there since 2011 and has a solid record of 16 goals in 61 matches which isn’t too bad for a winger who sometimes plays as a forward. In short, he’s still showing glimpses of the form that attracted Liverpool in the first place.
Both parties have moved on but he scored a beast of a goal against Gent in the recent 1-1 draw, which showcased everything that Liverpool didn't see when he was at Anfield.
He improvised to control the ball, used the top of his thigh to set the ball up and then cracked in a makeshift volley from around 30 yards out, which left the goalkeeper with no chance and put his side in front.
Take a look at his effort;
What do you make of it?
