Arsenal fans, remember Denilson? Yes his most recent loan spell has taken an ugly turn.
When Arsenal fans learned they had signed the captain of Brazil's under-17 team back in 2006, fans were full of hope they had signed the next big star.
Denilson failed to develop into the dynamic player Arsenal hoped he might be, despite being given numerous chances at the Gunners making more than 150 appearances for the club.
He has not made an appearance for the Gunners since March 2011, but he remains contracted to Arsenal.
Since then he has been loaned out back to Brazil with Sao Paolo, who have yet to stump up the cash to buy him out of his Arsenal contract which does not expire until 2014.
So how is it going over there?
Well Denilson is now 25, and he like many players who have departed Arsenal on loan or permanently, won a medal when Sao Paulo won the Copa Sudamericana at the end of last year.
The current Brazilian domestic season is yet to get underway, but Sao Paulo have been involved in the Copa Libertadores, with Denilson making five appearances in 2013.
And it has not been going to plan. Sao Paulo have lost three of their five games, with their on-pitch performances described as 'unstable.'
Yesterday afternoon, Denilson became involved in a Twitter altercation with a supporter, and it has made big headlines back in Brazil.
As report Brazilian website Lancenet:
Denilson was told by a fan to 'stop talking, play football and honour the shirt' - to which the player took exception.
He responded by using a word beginning with c... before deleting the message soon after.
Twitter user @perioliveira - insulted by Denilson, himself responded by threat: "You cursed the wrong person, be sure that soon we will meet face to face and you'll have to repeat that."
Denilson, who can be found on Twitter at @_denilson15 tried to diffuse the row, stating he was committed to Sao Paulo and the bickering should stop.
At which point it was probably too late really, the damage had been inflicted upon his own reputation.
Not for the first time, back in at the end of 2011 he was involved in another Twitter row with his own fans, branding them 'very very annoying' who then demanded he leave the club. We wonder what he would make of Piers Morgan...
Denilson ought to be careful though, because he is only on loan at Sao Paulo could walk away from the agreement with him very easily. Despite a successful season last year, if it is not replicated this term, he may just find himself back on the bench in North London.
