Chelsea are coming into the match on the back of a tight 3-2 aggregate win over Steaua Bucharest in their Europa League tie, and with their increasingly heavy fixture list, Rafa Benitez will be keen to rotate and rest as many players as possible. With Spurs moving ahead of them in recent weeks, and Arsenal and Everton breathing down their necks, Chelsea know that a positive result is crucial today.
In contrast to Chelsea, West Ham have had a very light schedule of late, and this will be only their second match of March. The Hammers have improved of late, winning two of their last four and only losing to Tottenham Hotspur courtesy of a late wonder strike from Gareth Bale. With 33 points already in the bag, Sam Allardyce is looking for just a few more positive results to ensure West Ham are in the Premier League next year, and perhaps try and grab a top half finish.
The return fixture saw West Ham win 3-1, but what is your prediction for today’s game?
