Here are how the four quarter-finals for the Champions League have come out of the hat this lunchtime.
The pool has been whittled down to the last eight of the Champions League and there are no English teams involved for the first time since 1996. Here are the quarter-finals.
The matches will take place on 2nd/3rd April (1st Leg) and 9th/10th April (2nd Leg).
Malaga v Borussia Dortmund
Malaga couldn’t have asked for a tougher draw. They have home advantage for the first leg against Borussia Dortmund where they have to try and get an advantage to take back to Germany.
The current German champions and up holders have been notoriously difficult to play against in the competition this season. They will be happy they have gotten away with this tie.
Real Madrid v Galatasaray
Real Madrid have been rewarded for their win over Manchester United with a very winnable match against Turkish opposition. They will go into this game confident of securing a heavy first leg advantage.
The Turkish team have nothing to lose because no one is going to give them any hope of winning this match. They can play free flowing and attacking football and have to rely on a well organised defence to give themselves the best chance of getting through the tie.
Paris Saint-Germain v Barcelona
It doesn’t get any tougher for PSG but this is probably the pick of the ties due to the growing strength and profile of the French side. For PSG it’s very much a case of time to put their money where their mouths are.
Barcelona came through a difficult tie against AC Milan and will be happy they have second leg home advantage. If they win this tie comfortably, expect them to go from strength to strength.
Bayern Munich v Juventus
Bayern Munich just about scraped through against Arsenal and they will be very happy with this draw. They can take apart any side on their own ground, which they will have to do.
Juventus will just try and stay in the game over the first leg before creating a verile and hostile atmosphere in the second match, which they will hope is enough to see them progress.
What do you make of the ties?
