Federico Macheda has not had much luck since joining Stuttgart, in fact he has failed to make a single start in the Bundesliga since joining in January.
The only starts he has had have come in the Europa League, featuring tonight against his former club Lazio.
He is still to do anything of note for the Germans since arriving, no goals scored, so in his desperation he may just try to claim this one as an assist.
Lazio were 2-0 up from two Libor Kozak goals, before Stuttgart pulled one back through Tamas Hajnal.
In the build up to the goal at first glance it could appear as though Manchester United's on loan striker nods the ball back to him to rifle home, but on closer inspection the cross simply rebounds off the defender's head who was marking Macheda, into Hajnal's path.
Macheda might as well try to boast it was his presence which led to the goal, but officially he has not been credited with an assist. It is as near he has come to anything productive during his loan spell.
With no shots on goal the entire match, played in a slightly withdrawn role off the striker, he was substituted off just two minutes after the goal, but Lazio went onto win the game 3-1 with Kozak completing his hattrick, and 5-1 on aggregate.
