Blizzard's next expansion in RTS epic went live today.
Gamers will no doubt be furiously clicking their way through battles as Blizzard has unleased its much-anticipated second chapter to StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm.
Aimed at letting gamers take control of former-baddie Kerrigan: Queen of Blades, Heart of the Swarm sees gamers use endless legions of insectoid Zerg to take on all enemies.
“Heart of the Swarm enhances every aspect of StarCraft II,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment.
“In addition to Kerrigan’s campaign and the new multiplayer units and maps, we think players will really enjoy the new online elements and new features that make StarCraft II more fun and easier to learn than ever before.”
In addition to the 20-mission single-player campaign, Heart of the Swarm features a bevy of new features designed to make StarCraft's notoriously hard-core PVP matches more friendly to newbies.
New grouping systems have been put in place to ensure you're not too quickly outmatched by a skilled opponent, while there is also a training and versus-AI mode that dynamically responds to players' abilities.
Further pushing the game's e-sports features, there are 'watch with others' features that allow gamers to review interesting matches together and even jump in and play out the mission with the 'take command' feature.
