Six youngsters who deserve a chance at Chelsea next season

Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea have several young players who could all make it into the first team regularly next season.

Chelsea are a club that are reliable when it comes to bringing through talented and solid youth players, to mix it alongside the established first team stars at the club. Here are a few youths who could be in that position next season.

Nathaniel Chalobah

Chalobah is a six foot plus front man who has already played for England at four different levels at only the age of 18-years-old. He’s on loan at Watford and due to return when that deal expires.

Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku has scored 13 Premier League goals in 26 matches for West Brom this season. There is talk of him spending another season on loan at the Baggies but Chelsea could do much worse than giving him a decent run in the first team.

Kevin De Bruyne

The Belgian play maker has scored six goals in 25 games for Werder Bremen this season and has been one of their stand out players. He’s of a similar breed to Eden Hazard and Juan Mata and Frank Lampard’s departure means a squad place is opening up.

Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian goalkeeper has been a regular in the Atletico Madrid team which is pushing Barcelona all the way at the top of La Liga. The Spanish side want to keep him but Chelsea should consider bringing him back and providing competition for Petr Cech.

Nathan Ake

Nathan Ake has been named in several first team squads this season but has rarely been thrown into the team. He has experience of playing in the current first team but as a defender and holding player, there is a lot of competition for his place at the moment.

Lucas Piazon

Currently on loan at Malaga for the rest of the season. He’s had a big impact on their team since he made the switch and he deserves a greater chance at Chelsea than he’s already received.

Chelsea fans, who do you think will break into the side next year?
