Fantasy Football Preview: Gameweek 29

The FA cup has decimated the fixture list, meaning it could be a struggle to field eleven players this weekend. However there are some fine matches scheduled, and two of the most in form players in the league face off.

Fixtures Analysis: It might be tempting to remove some key players who won't be featuring this weekend, but it is worth bearing in mind that there should be double game weeks at some stage for players in FA cup action this weekend, and you don't want to focus too much on the teams playing this weekend. All of the games have potential, and there could be bargains to pick from QPR, Southampton and Reading. West Brom and Newcastle are also worth considering, and you'll need players from both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur to ensure a good week.

Transfers In: Southampton might have lost to QPR at the weekend, but they again looked dangerous going forward throughout the match. Rickie Lambert (7.2) is worth having ahead of the trip to Norwich, who can ship plenty of goals if they go behind early in a match. Jason Puncheon (5.1) and Gaston Ramirez (5.2) are should also be considered.

QPR's victory at St Mary's has reignited some hope in their bid to avoid relegation, and they have a winnable fixture against Sunderland this weekend to try and build some more momentum. January signings Loic Remy (5.7) and Christopher Samba (4.9) are probably the best picks, and Junior Hoilett (5.6) might not be a bad man to have either.

Reading's form has dipped again, but they should be incredibly motivated in their relegation six pointer with Aston Villa this weekend. Ian Harte's (4.0) set pieces have brought in points even when his side have been losing, and Adam Le Fondre (5.0) is a decent shout despite his frequent rotation. It's also worth considering Christian Benteke (7.0), as Villa have scored in most of their games recently, and the Belgian could do well against Reading's generous defence.

West Brom receive Swansea at the Hawthorns, and Romelu Lukaku (6.5) should be fresh for the match after being unable to play last weekend against Chelsea. Newcastle suffered a setback against Swansea last weekend, and will want to recover their form this weekend against Stoke. Moussa Sissoko (6.6) is a good choice, as is Mathieu Debuchy (5.0) against a Stoke side that have only score din one of their past four matches.

Luis Suarez (10.9) and Gareth Bale (10.6) stand out as must haves given their recent form and the absence of many key fantasy football players this weekend. Daniel Sturridge (7.5) also has a good record against Spurs over the past couple of seasons, and Jermain Defoe (7.9) might start his first Premier League match since his injury.

Captain Choice: A difficult weekend to call, on form Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale are both fair choices, but Moussa Sissoko could be an interesting differential this weekend.
