The appointment, which will be put to the membership for ratification at the 2013 AGM, fills a vacancy left by the resignation of former Deputy Chairman Chris Charman, who has taken up a full-time role as Chief Executive of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA).
Coudounaris recently returned to the UK to take up a position as a senior manager at PwC, having previously undertaken risk management roles in Cyprus and the Middle East.
