VIDEO: Former Liverpool target nicknamed 'Pitbull' kicks chair at police after red-card

Gary Medel almost signed for Liverpool in 2010 but he now plays for Sevilla in Spain. After breaking the arm of former Chelsea player Tiago he later got sent off himself and proceeded to lash out on some innocent garden furniture.

Sevilla and Atletico Madrid played out a 2-2 draw last night which saw Los Colchoneros win with an aggregate score of 4-3 overall meaning that the two major sides from Madrid will fight it out for the Copa Del Rey title later in the season.

Goals from Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao were enough despite a reply from Jesus Navas and Ivan Rakitic for the Seville side at Sanchez Pizjuan.

However the games main talking point was Chilean midfielder Gary Medel for his actions throughout the game. The combative midfielder is affectionately nicknamed ‘The Pitbull’ for his aggressive playing style and physical appearance.

He has previously been linked with a move to Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United but based on his tantrum-like performance last night most would be well advised to stay well clear.

Not just content with breaking the arm of former Chelsea midfielder Tiago with a high tackle earlier in the game he was then shown a second yellow card for a foul on Diego Costa.

I am not sure why but something tells me he was not happy with the decision; as you can see in the below video.

Before you ask; yes. Those were police officers who received the wrath of his clumsy right foot deck-chair kick. Plastic garden furniture shrapnel can be very dangerous Gary; let alone the water bottle that also kicked up in the incident.

What a clown!
