Andreas Weimann could be one of Aston Villa’s most important players next season, regardless of whether they go down. Several sources have suggested that Weimann could leave the club but Villa are in a position of power where they could convince the Austrian to stay on.

Paul Lambert has revealed that the future of the club will be greatly strengthened if Andreas Weimann signs a new contract. The current plight of the side has led to suggestions the Austrian has snubbed a new deal but he has personally insisted that’s not true.

Fabian Delph has revealed that Yacouba Sylla is one of the most aggressive midfielders he’s ever come across. Sylla signed for Villa last month and has been thrown in at the deep end. Delph has revealed the extent of Sylla’s aggressive nature as he flies into tackles regularly during training.
