Just when you thought you’d heard it all, Mario Balotelli orders a statue to immortalise himself forever.
Oh how many of us miss Mario Balotelli. Each and every week he’d do something different or get into the headlines for some bizarre Premier League related reason.
Well, he’s now gone and ordered a statue of himself, which he wants to sit in his home and it’s of his famous goal celebration against Germany in the last European championship.
We knew he had an ego but he now seemingly wants himself immortalised in statue form for as long as it entertains him.
Roberto Mancini must be shaking his head at the antics of a player he once described as ‘son-like’ but it’s not really surprising considering some of the stories he’s been involved in throughout the years, despite the fact he’s still only 22-years-old.
“I have received the commission, but I've never met Balotelli so I am working from photos I presented several drawings but Mario wanted to be immortalised in a pose that shows him having scored a goal, highlighting his muscles,” Livio Scrpella told Il Giornale di Brescia.
He’s not exactly been keeping himself to himself in Italy since he returned to Milan as he’s currently at the centre of a race storm surrounding the AC Milan vice-president and he was also fined for making a gesture to Inter Milan fans after being racially abused.
Hopefully he won’t do anything stupid throughout the rest of his career which means this comes back to haunt him. However, if it does, there won’t be too many sympathetic souls out there.
Any guesses as to what he’ll come up with next?
