Five Players who couldn't be blamed for leaving Manchester City this summer

If Manchester City don’t win the Premier League or FA Cup, there could be a mass exodus of players this summer.

Manchester City are the victims of their own success and the victims of the victims could be forced to make way for an overhaul of players, if the club decide to go with a new boss and a clean slate.

Here are five players who could be leaving this summer if that’s the case;

Joleon Lescott

Not a single City fan could blame Lescott for trying to force a move away from the club because he’s been poorly treated this season. He was one of the key figures in the City defence last season but he’s started only 11 games so far in the current campaign.

Scott Sinclair

The former Chelsea winger has not made anything like the impact he’d have desired since he moved to Manchester City from Swansea. This is a 23-year-old who has played for England at five different levels who could easily hit 24, 25-years-old at the club with no change in his role or status.

Samir Nasri

Nasri has not looked at home in a City shirt this year. He’s looked a little confused about his role in the side at times which is impacting on his performances. The Frenchman could get a move to a club where his profile and status are unchallenged by others around him.

David Silva

Recent reports suggest Real Madrid are going to try and sign Silva this summer and it could be difficult for him to turn down a move back to Spain. He’s been part of a successful side but if that carrot of going home is dangled in front of him, then it could be hard for the club to keep him.

Edin Dzeko

Dzeko is being heavily linked with a move back to the Bundesliga. He could be tempted by any side that guarantees him first team football because he’s only made 11 starts in the Premier League this time round and a staggering 12 off the bench.

City fans, what do you think? Who do you want to leave or stay this summer?
