All the latest Tottenham Hotspur news and gossip.

22-year-old Jon Obika has been allowed to leave on loan for Charlton Athletic. The striker has been prolific for the club's under-21 side in 2012/13, and recently made a first team appearance as a substitute in the FA Cup. He will remain at the Addicks until the end of the season, and gives further credence that AVB remains happy with Jermain Defoe's injury progress, and has confidence in Emmanuel Adebayor.

Andre Villas-Boas says Spurs fully deserved their victory last night, which came courtesy of a late aggregate winner from Moussa Dembele. The club face Inter Milan in the last 16, a tie AVB says he is excited for. But with those big ties in mind as well as the important North London Derby, we ask today if late goals and Gareth Bale are simply papering over the cracks for the club?

Dembele says the goal was the most important of his career, and is determined to get on the scoresheet more for his club, also adding he intends to start shooting more often. He added he was also inspired by a half-time pep talk from his manager, to keep pushing until the very final whistle.

Three men have been arrested over the incident which saw Spurs fans drinking in a bar attacked by thugs. French police have said two were Lyon fans and the third a member of a far-right organisation. In related news, three Borussia Dortmund fans were stabbed by Lazio yobs ahead of their Europa League clash. Spurs fans were attacked in Rome last year when the two sides met, but Lazio's club president has issued a bizarre defence of his club's fans. One Spurs fan has retold his terrifying ordeal from a hospital bed which saw him and his son beaten up in a street near to the bar after the main incident.

Emmanuel Adebayor says he is determined to prove a point by finishing above Arsenal this season and show people he was right to quit the club where he spent six years.

Tottenham face West Ham on Monday night, and there are fears the ugly issue of anti-semitic chanting could marr the fixture. West Ham's owners have acted early to threaten any fans involved with bans, as some were at White Hart Lane in the previous match between the two sides.

Are Tottenham the most progressive team in the Premier Legaue? We have an article on why they just might be, offering five reasons that Spurs fans should be more than happy with the direction their club is heading in.

Spurs loanee Danny Rose has suffered an injury blow, with a hamstring injury likely to keep him out for several weeks. The left-back had been enjoying an extended run in the Sunderland side, and is expected to sign with the club in the summer, but is said to be heading back to Spurs for treatment.
