Radoslaw Majewski: The man who can power Forest into the Premier League

There’s a Pole at the heart of the Nottingham Forest midfielder who could drive them back into the Premier League.

If you’re thinking of backing a side to finish in the Championship play-offs by the end of the season then take your pick because sixth to 14th place in the division is separated by just ten points.

One team with a great chance is Nottingham Forest, one of the great historic clubs of English football. They may have been a little bit of a circus manager wise this season but they seem to have a settled side.

They also have a very talented player at the heart of their midfield who could easily move on at the end of the season, if the club hasn’t managed to secure promotion into the Premier League.

Radosław Majewski is a 26-year-old attacking midfielder who bagged a hat-trick against Huddersfield Town in the club’s last league match. That’s some feat even for established midfielders in the Premier League.

This lad has been playing with a point to prove throughout his entire career, having played for three Polish clubs before getting the chance to go on loan and then sign for Nottingham Forest.

He’s been at the club since 2010 and may have started to doubt himself because he’s come off the bench on seven occasions this season. However, that’s not his fault, he’s just been a victim of the constantly changing managers and policies new ones bring in.

The point is he’s now in the side under Billy Davies, he has a frustrating history which will drive him on personally and his club are in a great position just six points off a play-off spot with 15 games left to play.

He has everything a club looks for in an attacking midfield player; energy, fitness, desire, pace, skill and consistency when he’s given a chance.

Those are all qualities which mean he’s almost certain to be bought by a higher profile club at the end of the season unless Forest can get back into the Premier League.

He seems to be a player who relishes consistency and a little bit of faith from the coach he’s playing for. The three goals against Huddersfield were his first goals of the season and you can expect a few more.

Can you think of a better attacking midfielder in the Championship?
