9. 2003 - The Conservative Party leader, Iain Duncan Smith, resigns after failing to win the backing of his fellow MPs

11. 2008 - Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand are suspended by the BBC for the prank telephone calls to actor Andrew Sachs during a Radio 2 show
