Football League Transfer Talk: Including Tom Ince and Jeff Schlupp

Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers, Leicester City and Wolves all feature.

Blackpool forward Matt Phillips is being linked with a £3 million move to Blackburn Rovers this summer. Blackburn are thought to be keen on the player but they may have to up their offer as Blackpool have already rejected an offer of £5.5 million from Southampton.

Blackpool midfielder Tom Ince could be used in a part exchange deal for Nathan Delfouneso from Aston Villa. Reports are suggesting Villa will offer the striker plus a fee of around £5 million to beat Liverpool and Reading to the England Under-21 international.

Jeff Schlupp looks set to secure a permanent move to Manchester United which could see defender William Keane moving the other way. Schlupp has spent the last few weeks training with the United first team and they may even be prepared to add cash to the deal.

Wolves have completed the loan signing of Reading defender Kaspars Gorkss on a three-month emergency deal. Gorkss has featured in Reading’s Premier League campaign so it’s a fantastic acquisition for Wolves, with Dean Saunders recently stating he wanted to improve the defence of the side.

Barnsley manager David Flitcroft is still hoping to sign a defender and a midfielder on loan to the end of the season. The Barnsley boss has recently admitted that he wants to improve the side to give themselves a better chance of getting out of the bottom three.

Birmingham City are closing in on the loan signing of a Premier League midfielder with rumour sites suggesting they will add a central defender. The club are expected to complete both loan deals over the next two weeks as their financial situation effectively stops them from signing players permanently.

Huddersfield Town are in talks with Mark Robins to become the club’s new manager. Robins is currently the boss of Coventry City who earlier rejected an approach from Huddersfield who want Robins to replace the recently departed Simon Grayson who was recently axed.
