EA's new horror title takes charge by breaking in at number one.
EA's space-horror title Dead Space 3 has broken into the UK charts at the number one spot, according to figures provided by Chart-Track.
The game has been critically well received, but the sci-fi monster shooter hasn't quite reached the heights of Dead Space 2, with a Metacritic Rating of 78 compared to the latter title's 90.
While Dead Space 3 rules the roost, FIFA 13 continues to secure its stranglehold on second place, holding the spot for multiple weeks.

Call of Duty: Back Ops II, Far Cry 3 and Hitman: HD Trilogy held onto their positions at third, fourth and fifth, while Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch slipped from its vantage point at number one last week to sixth.
Meanwhile, the rest of the chart remained much the same as it was last week, with Need for Speed: Most Wanted at seven, Just Dance 4 at eight and Hitman Absolution at nine.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed rocketed up the listing from 18th to tenth to close off the chart for the week ended February 9th.
