Was the solution to Liverpool's early season striking problems under their noses all along?
Michael Ngoo. Remember the name, and don't confuse it with David Ngog.
Ngoo is a bright exciting talent at Liverpool's academy who has just gone on loan to Hearts, the Scottish club who faced Liverpool early this season in the Europa League.
The 20-year-old London born striker has all the physical attributes of a top centre forward, and a six foot four is one inch taller than Andy Carroll.
He played his second game out on loan for Hearts at the weekend in the SPL against Ross County, and scored a terrific goal.
You can see his skilfulness and deft touch, as well as his power and determination in getting the shot away and finishing clinically.
He is certainly a player to watch and it will be interesting to monitor his progress as the season unfolds.
