ICAP Energy Appoints MD


ICAP has announced the appointment of George Dranganoudis as a Managing Director of ICAP Energy in Singapore, from 4 February, 2013.

Reporting to Anthony Warner, CEO of ICAP Singapore and regionally to Hugh Gallagher, CEO of Asia Pacific, Dranganoudis will manage oil broking in Singapore and will also play an active role overseeing other commodities opportunities in the region.

Dranganoudis has more than 11 years of experience at ICAP, including 10 years at ICAP Energy and 19 years in the broking industry. Previously, he was Associate Director of Oil Derivatives at ICAP Singapore and Manager of Coal Derivatives at ICAP London. Most recently, he was based in Sydney as Senior Broker for ICAP Energy Australia overseeing the business across product lines.

Gallagher said: 'The experience that George has gained in London, Singapore and Sydney spanning 19 years will be invaluable for our growth and expansion in the Asian Energy and Commodity business. He will help take our business in Asia Pacific to the next stage of its development'.

Warner added: 'George brings deep understanding both of the market and of our customers' needs and he has an exceptional record in working in partnership with his clients and colleagues. I welcome him to help expand our oils offering in particular in Singapore'.
