Was this the moment Sir Alex Ferguson earmarked Wilfried Zaha as a Manchester United star of the future?
Cast your mind back to November 2011; Manchester City had yet to win the Premier League, and Kenny Dalglish was still Liverpool manager.
United fans will have probably erased their League Cup elimination at the hands of Crystal Palace from their minds, but for their latest signing it bears great significance.
Palace defeated a United side which started Darron Gibson, Dimitar Berbatov and Mame Biram Diouf 2-1 in extra-time, with both Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba coming off the bench for the Reds.
The substitutes were two highly rated youngsters, but the one who stole the show was wearing a Crystal Palace shirt, Wilfried Zaha.
It was his movement, pace, and quick feet which captured the imagination, at the age of just 18 he was lighting up Old Trafford.
Now it appears to be simply a prelude to a regular occurrence. Zaha was snapped up by United for a fee rising to £15 million this month and will arrive in July after completing his season at Palace.
Looking back to this day, you wonder whether it was the moment he sealed his future, whether his performance shot him onto the radar of Sir Alex Ferguson - Who made sure he watched his development ever since.
