West Ham co-owner David Gold has claimed Liverpool and the Hammers have reached an agreement which would see Andy Carroll sign at Upton Park permanently in the summer. The £35 million pound man has one goal from nine starts and is yet to feature in 2013, but is ready to return imminently. Gold makes no announcement of any fee - and also adds Carroll is yet to agree personal terms or declare his intention to sign for the West Ham permanently.
Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has been charged with assaulting a woman. Sterling is alleged to have committed the assault last November and has pledged not guilty to the accusation. The case has been adjourned to the end of February, he was not present for the formal charge.
Liverpool left back Jose Enrique could be included from the start against Manchester City this weekend. Enrique came off the bench in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal and Brendan Rodgers may use him on the left side of midfield to provide extra protection to the Liverpool back four.

Dani Pacheco did not come good on his claim to break into the Liverpool first team as he was sent on loan to SD Huesca on transfer deadline day. Pacheco featured for the club at the start of the season when Liverpool were limited by attacking options and Pacheco said his aim for the season was to gain a regular first team place.
