Duncan Gwyther, Chief Investment Officer of Quilter, has been appointed Chairman of the FTSE APCIMS Private Investor Indices Committee, taking over the mantle from Mike Lenhoff, who has recently retired.
Gwyther has been an active member of the Committee for more than fifteen years and has an in-depth appreciation of performance measurement and private client management.
An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Banking and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, Gwyther has worked at Quilter since 1987, having joined from Barclays. He became Chief Investment Officer in 1998 when he was charged with responsibility for the firm’s investment strategy. He is a lead investment manager for Quilter’s institutional clients.
Gwyther said: 'This appointment is a challenge that I relish. I am particularly pleased to continue working alongside such committed and knowledgeable committee members. There is much of importance on the agenda as we look to ensure that the relevance and usefulness of the Private Investor Indices can be maintained'.
