Despite Manchester City's denials, the chase for Mario Balotelli is hotting up, with Juventus entering the fray, according to The Sun. Talks are ongoing today between the various parties, and Balotelli is due to fly to Italy after City's game at QPR tonight.
Stoke City are due to wrap up the signing of American winger Brek Shea today. Talks had appeared to break down between the MLS star and the club last week, but a £2.5 million fee has now been agreed. The Mirror also report Stoke want to sign Crystal Palace's Australian midfielder Mile Jedinak.
Arsene Wenger has given up on signing David Villa this transfer window, admitting Barcelona will not sell the striker. There is one surprise new face at the Emirates this morning however, with David Beckham training at the ground. Wenger has again said there is no deal to be made, and Beckham is simply 'getting fit', with the former England captain's destination remaining a mystery.
QPR defender Anton Ferdinand has left the club, joining Buraspor on loan until the end of the season. He has not been part of Harry Redknapp's first team plans since arriving and the switch to Turkey should give him regular football. Rob Hulse has also left the club on loan, joining Millwall.
West Ham have clinched the signing of former Middlesbrough defender Emmanuel Pogatetz on loan until the end of the season, joining from German side Wolfsburg where he has made just eight appearances this campaign. However they look set to lose out to Leeds in their efforts to sign Aston Villa left-back Stephen Warnock.
Sunderland are reported to be close to signing Danny Graham, report the Mirror, with the Swansea star requesting to move back to the North East for personal reasons. His price is set at £5.5 million, but any move will wait until after tonight, with the two teams facing off in the Premier League tonight.
Wigan are to make a bid for Ecuadorian winger Jefferson Montero, who plays in Mexico. He would cost around £3 million, and is a cheaper proposition than the £5 million Spartak Moscow want for Aidan McGeady.
